Does your child dream of working with animals one day? Our junior zookeeper experience is the perfect opportunity to take their passion to the next level. Designed for children ages 7-16 this hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience offers an exciting introduction to the world of zookeeping.

Junior zookeepers will step into the shoes of a zookeeper and experience the hard work, dedication and rewards of caring for animals. Under the guidance of our experienced educators, they will help prepare and deliver good to a variety of animals, get up close and personal with some of our residents, and learn about their unique behaviours and needs.

They will also discover how zookeepers keep animals happy and healthy, including food preparation, basic health and safety practices and how to create exciting enrichment activities to stimulate the animals' minds and instincts.

This experience is tailored for children with a genuine interest in working with animals, offering a glimpse into the day-to-day life of a zookeeper.
