Discover the fascinating world of Kent’s frogs, toads and newts in this engaging introductory course. 

You’ll learn how to identify local species and explore their basic ecology, find out what makes a great amphibian pond and gain an overview of key survey techniques. The course finishes with a torchlight survey of a nearby amphibian population, bringing your learning to life after dark.

There will be an emphasis on newts, reflecting the importance of the species.

Please note that while the course begins at Wildwood Kent, the field trip will be conducted at the University of Kent, where the course will conclude. Participants will need to arrange their own transportation.
